Rhinelander, Wisc.
We spent this past weekend in a beautiful place: Rhinelander, Wisconsin. It was a family get-together of sorts, my cousin Jim's post-wedding wedding celebration. He and Lisa got married in Fiji a year and a half ago, and invited all of us to celebrate with them this summer after they settled back down after touring the world. Here I am with my cousin Karen, her beautiful new baby Isabel, my Aunt Pat, and my Grandma. The girls. It was a gorgeous weekend, with precious time spent with family. It went way too quickly.

Fulton Street Hat Factory
I've been brainstorming names for my soon-to-be-launched "company."
It's technically a baby hat factory. So I was thinking... Boston Hat Factory? Fullerton Hat Factory? Fulton Street Hat Factory? Other names that have come to mind over the past months include... 117baby, 117hats, 117knits, FultonHats, Fullerton Hats (or Fullerhats), Boston Knits, Fulton Knits, Fulton Street Baby, ...
The problem is I don't want to limit myself for the future with just "hats" or just "baby"...
Anyone out there with any ideas, please help!

10 Simple Pleasures
Well, I've now been tagged twice (oaksusu), on two different topics, so I'd better do this...
10 Simple Pleasures...
10. Sitting on the couch on a Saturday afternoon starting a new knitting project
9. Enjoying a glass of wine with Paul while we sit at the bar at Bacco and enjoy the fresh air
8. Starting a really good book I've been waiting for
7. A bubble bath on a Sunday evening
6. Listening to my nieces' and nephews' cute little voices on the phone
5. Sitting at a cafe in Italy eating a caprese
4. A perfectly mixed coffee with cream and sugar
3. An unexpected email from Paul that says I love you
2. A moment of reading Scripture that really speaks to me
1. Daydreaming with Paul about our future
I tag... bergersandmore, jessica, and adventures of the kimbergs

Pan-Mass '06
Yesterday was an amazing day, a true gift from God. Our alarms went off at 5:00 am, and we (when I say “we” I mean “I”) were full of excitement and nervousness. We sucked our bodies into our spandex padded bike shorts, our new PMC 06 jerseys, and made sure we had all the essentials: sunscreen, sunglasses, water bottles, … and got on the road to Wellesley, the start. We got there and loaded up with bananas and gatorade, and were so motivated by the spirit of the people around us. People had signs taped to their backs with lists of their loved ones who have died from cancer, and pictures of their children who are suffering from cancer, and ribbons in memory of their friends. I just wrote the word "Dad" on the back of my right leg.
Mile 0, 7:30am... waiting to get on our bikes. Here we are with our co-worker and friend Rachael and her hubby Pete. The first 20 miles to the first water stop were amazing. I was so encouraged by the people around me, and felt full of energy and motivation. The route weaved through shady neighborhoods, with what seemed like lots of downhill coasts, with a couple tough hills. We stopped for water, rode til the 41-mile mark, and stopped for lunch. There was music blaring, people with an unstoppable commitment to cancer all around us. It was so energizing.
Mile 55, about 1:30pm... we don't look that tired! God continued to give us great strength.
Mile 84, 4pm... We rolled into Bourne, the beginning of Cape Cod. People cheered us all the way in. Here we are after a cool shower and clean clothes. After the finish, we felt so good... with the help of all our friends and family, we have raised $5,500 for cancer research, a great feat. We are "closer by the mile..."
