Easter

Easter came and went this year... and although we paused to celebrate the resurrection of our lord, it seems like this winter and spring are flying this year at breakneck speed. We entertained 20 friends for Easter with lots of incredible food--with contributions from everyone and a buffet complete with ham, brisket, quiche, coffee cake, beans, rolls, corn, ... and rum cake and lemon cake. I know I say this at the celebration of every holiday, but we really get so much joy out of spending significant holidays with our friends and church family here in Boston. Our house was full of friends and laughter.

Since January I've been following [Ligonier's] Table Talk's read the Bible in a year plan, and I'm keeping up... I'm only about two months behind (and it's only April)! Hah. But the point is that I'm reading almost every day and spending time in the word and reflecting on it. It has been really amazing for my overall wellbeing and sense of peace. I recommend it to everyone...
